Sleeping was Nani's thing.
Everyday, after drinking her milk, she would sleep but sometimes, she knows she's sleepy but she wants to be in a certain place.
During her third or fourth day with us, we sat together and just watched television when she started to meow loudly. It was either she wanted to sleep or she was hungry. So, I tried feeding her but she wasn't hungry. Then, I put her in her crib (that's what we call her cage, our laundry basket) but she just kept climbing out. I didn't know what to do anymore so, in conclusion, I put her inside my shirt.
She didn't squirm, she didn't meow, and she didn't do anything but stay put. I knew that she was already asleep but I wanted to reassure myself that she didn't of suffocation (what?). So, I pulled up my shirt gently and she was sleeping soundly.
She loved the warmth of my tummy and the squishy feeling of it, maybe, made her feel on a bed. Sleeping inside shirts became a habit for her.
